John "Death Wish" Kerry enjoys putting himself in harm's way: hijacking motorcycles from cops, cruising without a helmet (he's no Dukaksis). Snowboarding, colliding with an SS agent. ("I don't fall!") Is it pride? Or is it his training and orientation? According to a NY Times article by Jodi Wilgoren, Kerry almost makes a game of escaping the SS: making a "private" cell call alone on a wide-open tarmac; plunging into crowds; making lefts into unscheduled restaurants; making cell calls while reading and flying the plane, watching a ball game at Fenway, in the fourth row between home and third, as tall a target as Abraham Lincoln. Here's to hoping he chooses a good VP.
