Halloween Horror Nights Promises 16 Days of Horror

Universal Studios Hollywood Halloween Horror Nights is back for another 16 days of horror fun. If you are like me, you’ve been to the event in the past and had a ton of fun. Waiting eleven months for this most anticipated experience is tough, but this year, it’s going to be bigger, better, and scarier.

Halloween Horror Nights is when Universal Studios Hollywood turns into a haunted theme park at night. There are rides, mazes, shows, and people wandering around ready to scare you. It’s probably the best haunted Halloween attraction in Southern California. I’ve been to Knott’s Scary Farm, the Queen Mary Halloween attraction, and the Old Town Pasadena maze, and Halloween Horror Nights is easily my favorite.

Now, I’ve done Halloween Horror Nights for three years. Every year, it’s a bit different, and every year, it’s a bit better. I really think Universal have outdone themselves. They’ve added even more choices: FOUR new mazes and FOUR new “scare zones.” Plus, the Terror Tram (the only time guests can get off the tram and explore the back lot, where they films thousands of movies and TV shows) is going to be different. Also new is a Rocky Horror Picture Show tribute and a Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure show.

The maze themes are: Saw: Game Over, Halloween: The Life and Crimes of Michael Myers, My Bloody Valentine: Be Mine 4 Ever, and Chucky’s Fun House. The daytime Universal Theme Park rides open are the Simpson’s Ride, Revenge of the Mummy, and Jurassic Park in the Dark.

Halloween Horror Nights runs for 16 days beginning October 2nd. The rest of the dates are: October 3, 9-11, 15-18, 23-25, and 28-31. It starts at 7:00 PM. You can already buy tickets (which I would recommend.)

Follow Halloween Horror Nights’ creative director John Murdy on Twitter or Facebook. The Facebook account is “Halloween Horror Nights - Hollywood (Official).”

Halloween Horror Nights is the best Halloween attraction in Southern California. Mark it on your calendar. It’s on mine.
