Mercury Capital Corporation alleges in a lawsuit that Courtney Love, lead singer for the band Hole and now resident of a rehab facility, has not paid on her mortgage since June of this year, E! Online News reports. Mercury Capital is seeking to attain the deed of her 4,123 square foot loft located in Manhattan's popular SoHo district, but that's not all. They also want "any personal property" inside the property.
Love purchased the condo in 2001 for $2.6 million, a bargain of a price compared to what it would be worth in today's New York condo market. Her condo's management board has levied liens on the property twice this year during her ordeals with arrests and drug rehabilitation.
The rocker-actress is currently facing trial on charges of probation violation, which could land her in a new home called jail. Love is due back in court Sept. 16, when a judge will make that decision.
Love's music-management group could not be reached for comment for this report.

I think she's at the wrong end of the tunnel. I hope she makes it out before she gets run over. It's sad. I think she's a smart person, probably means well most of the time, but drugs will fuck you up everytime.

I would agree with you there. I think she's probably the hypersensitive type, and her escape is either music, acting or the not-so-positive things, such as drugs and alcohol. I hope she gets a handle on things, myself.

With her rampant drug addiction, and the fact that she's facing jail and foreclosure, wouldn't you say she already is in hell? Of course, it is one that she created. Courtney Love is not my favorite person, either, but I really don't like to see people destroy themselves, or others. It really does reflect sadly on our society that so much of it goes on, but that's an entirely different post, and a very long one, at that.
