Fingers Point to Cleveburg

I just put up a fairly extensive post about the Blackout - which now appears to have begun right here in Northeast Ohio - on my Cleveland.com blog:

I hope you are well, safe, and not terribly inconvenienced after 100 power plants in eight states and two Canadian provinces went down Thursday afternoon in just nine seconds.

And now everyone is interested in Cleveland. I just got off the phone with the NY Times' fine tech writer Amy Harmon - she wanted to know how we Cleveland Internet types handled the blackout. I was somewhat embarrassed to admit mine actually didn't go out. Rock on Portage County and all hail its grid!

The ironies abound: local newscasters reporting all night from half-lit TV newsrooms, providing vital information to exactly THE PEOPLE WHO COULDN'T WATCH THE BROADCAST BECAUSE THEIR FLIPPING ELECTRICITY WAS OUT.....

Please check out the rest on Cleveland.com - after being down for 48 hours, they need the traffic.

Over at Whedonesque, they know the true story, and it is Cleveland's fault, but the truth is being covered up. The Hellmouth is acting up.

I expect The Scooby Gang and the Slayerettes prevented worse things than a black-out from happening. While the problems in Sunnydale are over, the situation in Cleveland still needs seeing to.
