Farewell to 2004

2004 was a magnificent year for the visual arts... but then again, every year since that first cavemen, working under the flickering light of a fire, painted the first cave paintings in Altamira, or that first sculptor molded a female goddess out of the clay mud of a river... had improved over the previous year.

Even when we lost perspective and realism in the Dark Ages, the naive art that resulted from that loss was somewhat refreshing and new.

And I am sure that 2005 will bring loads of new bright spots and shows and artists...

May 2005 be a good year for all of you!
