Explosive McCartney Divorce Papers Leaked - Page 2

PaulHeather In a statement issued through his lawyers at Payne Hicks Beach, McCartney said he would be "defending these allegations vigorously and appropriately," and "would very much like to respond in public and in detail to the allegations made recently against him by his wife and published in the press but he recognizes, on advice, that the only correct forum for his response to the allegations made against him is in the current divorce proceedings."

Mills claimed to be "shocked" to see the allegations made public, but HER attorneys at Mishcon de Reya said, "The law firm can confirm that Lady Heather Mills McCartney stands by everything that has been filed at court on her behalf and intends to prove its truth in due course, should this be necessary."

Paul Sir Paul and former model Mills met in 1999 at a charity event for her Heather Mills Health Trust, which recycles prosthetic limbs and campaigns against landmines. Mills lost a leg in 1993 after being hit by a police motorcycle as she crossed a road. The couple married in a lavish shindig at 17th Century Castle Leslie in Glaslough, Ireland in June of 2002 that included coaches, a helicopter, a lakeside dance floor, and leprechauns as ushers — kidding on that last one — and without the benefit of a prenuptial agreement, which Paul had deemed "unromantic."

Well, yes. The rock 'n' roll icon could lose up to a quarter of his estimated $1.55 billion fortune due to his, um, "romanticism," and some of that other stuff mentioned in the papers.

Paul should just get back to where he once belonged and be rid himself of this fish and finger pie.

    Great comments!

What I didn't have the heart to go into this time is how drasticaly different this relationship must have been than his with Linda. I don't think there was any good reason for him to get remarried without taking a REALLY long time to make sure it was the right thing to do.

I think Paul should carry that weight, take Maxwell's silver hammer, and make certain she's leaving home for good.

"She loves you! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!"
    Well, you THOUGHT she did.
I believe Eric made an excellent point with regard to Sir Paul getting hitched so soon after Linda's death. The man was lonely, and now he's paying for not wanting to be alone.

it's really too bad if any portion of these allegations against him are true, because it means he really changed

Eric, living is easy with eyes closed, especially when you want to believe it's getting better all the time.

Isn't it strange that some ppl can sit back and make fun of someone going through something so awful!?!

Actually, it is very normal for someone who has had a happy successful marriage to remarry within 1-2 years after losing their spouse. He was lonely and apparently in love (hence the lack of a pre-nup).

Personally, I'm wishing Paul and his family the best and hoping that Mills-McCartney doesn't get by with what she's trying to pull.

We can have fun with song titles and still be sympathetic and supportive until all the facts are out. Maybe I'm amazed not everyone sees it that way.

I agree it's all sad sad sad - I'm not really sure how you can take sides at this point. Do Paulie's fans not believe a word of what was leaked? Did she make it all up? Rather than go through what is sure to be very vicious shit played out in the press, he should offer her like $100M and cut his losses.

I agree with you, Eric. Paul should stop thinking about fixing a hole in his wallet because he'll only have a hard day's night. Money can't buy him love, but it sure as hell can get rid of that dizzy miss lizzie of a wife.
