DrugWipe

Be careful at work, 'cause now it's possible to instantly identify nanogram-size (that's one-billionth of a gram) traces of drugs left on surfaces.

You swipe the device on a surface, and in under two minutes you've got your result.

The DrugWipe system, manufactured in Germany by Securetec, looks for traces of the four major illegal drug groups (almost sounds the old seven basic food groups, doesn't it?): cocaine, cannabis, opiates (heroin), and amphetamines.

Now used in the U.S. by over 1,000 national, state, and local law enforcement and government agencies, the product's use has now spread to schools and businesses.

More than 25 schools in Pennsylvania are using it, along with two middle schools and one high school in Suffolk County, Long Island.

The test is so sensitive it can detect drug residue deposited up to eight weeks ago.

What a great tool to legally dump a troublesome employee, eh?

"We have evidence of illicit drug use in your office...."

The system is so sensitive it can detect drug residue in the sweat of users.

The company calls it "a sophisticated lab on a stick."

Maybe you should buy a few and stay ahead of Big Brother.

Sold here: 100 individually packaged kits (25 each for cocaine, cannabis, opiates, and amphetamines).

I don't want to give away too many details, but given that most US paper currency is apparently contaminated with cocaine and meth residue, I see an official-looking uniform, one of these bogus test kits, some crime tape at a busy mall, and frequent use of the phrase: "I'm sorry but we have to confiscate that bill for the DEA".
