Kids toys are really great these days, and they are constantly getting better. But, the one type of toy that hasn't improved over the years is the dog toy. Dog toys suck. Dogs are not having fun with their dog toys anymore. When you get your dog a new toy, your dog is thinking "Oh great, another rubber thing that will squeak when I bite it, lucky me."
Dog toys aren't even toys. They are just things to chew on. Chewing isn't fun. No kid wants a pack of gum for their birthday. The waitress doesn't come to your table and say "Hi, what would you like to play with tonight?" No mother calls their children in for dinner by saying "Kids... the toys are ready!" No one finishes eating and says "Man I'm stuffed... I can't play anymore."

That's ridiculous - comparing what children like in their toys to what dogs like in theirs. Dogs LOVE to chew. More, they NEED to chew. Contrary to what gum does to human teeth, dog chew toys actually improve dog's dental health. Comparing a child's boredom with gum (which, by the way, is arguable too, to say the least), is like saying that children must hate hopscotch because dogs don't play it.
What?????

Dogs like to PLAY-it is a measure of their intelligence. True-they do like to chew on things but they will drop that in an instant for an invitation to play-from another dog or human.

I don't know. My dogs, I have three, love their toys. I pick them up in the evening before I go to bed and they pull them all out the next day. There are very few times during the day they aren't playing with at least one toy.
