Developer To Demolish St. Petersburg Hotel To Build Upscale Multi-Use Condo Project

Opus South Corp., a national real estate development company, plans on demolishing Beach Park Motor Inn, a small hotel located on a prime piece of land located on St. Petersburg's beautiful downtown waterfront, in order to build a multi-use project that includes 118 condos and townhomes, including luxurious penthouses.

It will be called Parkshore Plaza, and while the penthouse units will be in the multi-million dollar price range, there will be townhomes starting at around $268,000.

While Opus South has not yet advertised these units for sale as of yet, perhaps because site preparation will not begin until December of this year, reservations to purchase some of these units have already been made, according to the company.

Information from the St. Petersburg Times was used in this report.
