Wednesday morning was like every other morning in Houston, Texas. Including a couple snatching a purse at a local Wal-Mart.
The suspect led cops on a high speed chase, approaching 100 mph. In attempt to lose the police, the driver tried hitting other cars until the van was run into a drainage ditch. The woman was arrested moments later.
However, in a last ditch effort to escape the police, the driver took off on foot through a field.
Note to criminals- attempting to out run a cop in a car doesn't work. This suspect was finally caught after a police truck hit the man. The suspect was taken to a hospital and suffered only a scrape on his knee.
The police are now investigating how the chase ended. However, it is said that the patrol car slid in the mud as it rained recently.
New note to criminals- don't run in muddy fields.

Chase ends with cops running over suspect
After watching the video of the suspect being ran over, It seemed clear to me and another person that. It was not very muddy, The police officer of the truck was going way to fast. Quote "it had been raining this morning. As the truck applied it's breaks, it did slide striking the suspect." Notice the trucks tires do not even lockup and slide. If it is so muddy, why is the officer going so fast? And after probably knowing that you just hit the guy would you kneel on him? After all police officers are supposed to be highly trained on how to drive a vehicle. They aren't even suppose to shoot someone unless they feel their life is in danger. Let alone run someone over.

That was awesome, but unfortuneate that the purse snatcher wasn't paralyzed. Keep in mind that the penalties for theft and running from the police will not keep this man in jail for more than 5 years. After which point he will steal and attack everyone in his way again, probably due to drug addictions, possibly killing your entire family in the process. So whoop de do, the police car hit the guy on accident. It should have been on purpose, it should be legal, and it should have been fatal. Stop defending sub-humans that steal.

If this guy had a gun and was about to shoot someone, the cop's 'deadly force' would have been justified, but he didn't have a gun and was in the middle of a huge field. And then the cop throws his knee into the guy's back even after the guy falls back to the ground after a futile attempt to get up. The cop should have told the guy to put his arms behind his back and then handcuffed him. If he doesn't do it, then maybe do the ol' knee in the back, but even then... the guy could have easily had serious internal injuries and been mortally wounded. Incredible case of Police brutality. Just because someone is guilty and deserves punishment doesn't mean he or she deserves to die. As for the police excuse of the truck sliding in the mud, wow. A) Obviously a lie considering the tires are moving the whole time, plus it wasn't even muddy! Try to find mud anywhere on him. There's dust behind the truck for God's sake! Which brings me to... B) How idiotic was the person who came up with that excuse? That's all you could come up with? My five year old neighbor could have come up with better lie than that.
And for anyone to say that this should have been fatal is pretty pathetic. Sorry, but it is. I could have sworn this was America. And, ironically, I'd have to guess that anyone saying that he should have died is a flag-wavin', support-our-troops-magnet-havin' American who thinks he stands for the American way. ...of running over suspects before they can be proven guilty.
