I stumbled on this fact accidentally this afternoon.
Here's the proof.Tell ya what: it wouldn't have happened without Blogcritics.Because not only does this site provide an introduction to my fevered musings, it also introduced me, in a sort of offhand way, to one PW [he's shy], the technical genius who made my site sing and look and work the way I envisioned it.Laboring selflessly behind the scenes, he moved my extensive archives from LiveJournal to TypePad, then made them easily searchable. And he did tons of other things that have to happen if you're gonna have a viable blog - especially one, like mine, that posts 8 times daily, 365 days a year.I must be nuts. But that's another issue entirely.Hot Sites is a daily feature of the online version of USA Today.
It started in 1996 when their team of web trawlers started featuring three sites each day.
Today it was me, and how nice it is to be featured.
They said things so flattering I'd have blushed if I still had an ounce of shame left:
- Joe's blog would still stand out, with prose combining the elegance of a fine writer with the terrific content of someone who's actually got interesting things to say. Joe celebrates life's good small things, and we celebrate this blog.
I'm almost blushing. Almost.
