You would think having your winkie severed and tossed off the side of the road would be enough to make you see the error of your ways, but not John Wayne Bobbitt, who is being sent to prison or parole violations:
- John Wayne Bobbitt is headed to prison after a judge revoked his probation for a 1999 guilty plea to attempted grand larceny in this small town 60 miles east of Reno.
District Court Judge Archie Blake told Bobbitt during a Friday hearing that repeated violations of the terms of his probation show he deserves prison time.
Bobbitt, 35, and his weeping wife spent a few minutes talking before he was led from the courtroom by a sheriff's deputy, the Lahontan Valley News & Fallon Eagle Standard newspaper reported.
Prison spokesman Glen Whorton said Bobbitt was being held at the Fallon jail and would be taken later this week to the medium-security Northern Nevada Correctional Center in Carson City.
Bobbitt, who gained fame in 1993 when his first wife cut off his penis, will spend from 12 to 32 months in prison. He was given credit for 117 days already served in jail. [AP]
A tough way to gain fame, granted, but the guy can't seem to stop abusing women:
- Last week, Bobbitt was convicted in Las Vegas of battering his wife. He was accused of throwing Joanna Bobbitt, 31, onto the floor and slamming his knee into her back last May, less than two months after they married.
Bobbitt also violated his probation by living with his wife after an October agreement with Blake not to do so, prosecutors said. He was on house arrest at the time.
....Bobbitt also worked at a brothel, as a bartender and a tow truck driver since moving from Virginia to Nevada after surgery to reattach his penis.
His first wife, Lorena, was found innocent by reason of insanity in the assault. She argued that Bobbitt abused her.
They neglected to mention Bobbitt's porn career.
