Thanks for all of your tremendous input regarding the site design, layout, etc. You are really a bunch of smart people and I am privileged to work with you. We have really made great strides in just one month! And look over to your left just above "Your Blogcritics": we received the Yahoo Pick of the Week Award for entertainment. This is something you can all take great pride in.
The final (for now) site design is a combination of what has gone before with special new help from Kenan Hebert. There are still several additions and changes to make, but we should be somewhere near normal by tomorrow. Those of you waiting for your passwords to join - thanks for your patience - you'll be on by tomorrow also.
I will finally get to your CD, book, DVD, etc requests with the labels, publishers, etc., tomorrow also. It's been a very wild week. Please fell free to scan the upcoming/new releases and let me know what you'd like to receive at any time. I'll try to work on them once a week.
NEW BLOGCRITICS: since we have turned a corner, we are ready to add a new batch of Blogcritics. I think we can handle about 50 more, so if you are interested please send me an email indicating your name, your blog name and URL, and your general interests. We would like you to post to Blogcritics once a week, and would expect you to post at least once a month.
The real beauty of Blogcritics has turned out to be the variety of voices singing on such a variety of popular culture topics from such a variety of perspectives: from the most mainstream to the most obscure, we are at least touching upon it. It's been great so far.

A book club sounds like a good idea, except I have enough trouble plowing through what I've got on my end-table as it is. But what the hell? What's another one?

With the book club there could be multiple catagories. There could be fiction, non-fiction, political, biography, history, romance, sci-fi, etc. It all depends on who's running it. I'll volunteer to moderate the non-fiction book.

I think the "mass attack" is a fantastic idea. I like the ratio of one book/month, one DVD/CD a month.
