Review: Guardian of the Dawn by Richard Zimler by Ashok K. Banker, Oct. 24
Despite a horrific pun (repeated twice!) on the title of Dan Brown's bestseller, Ashok's review of Zimmler's third novel in the Zacco family's fortunes across the ages is a shining example of how to communicate one's dislike of poorly-done historical fiction. Ashok's own writer's chops show clearly: "... there's a great emphasis on emotional states and sometimes oddly nuanced feelings that a Freudian psychiatrist could probably have a field day interpreting."
