And The Rumor Mill Just Keeps On Grindin'....

While watching CNN two days ago, I saw a news brief to the effect of "We have information on the whereabouts of Osama Bin Laden and we will capture him this year". This time the information is (supposed to be) very good, from reliable intelligence sources and now it's only a matter of time before we bring his head to the world on a silver platter. Now, as the elections draw near, this is where the rumor mills start spreading it on nice and thick: that Osama will be "captured" so as to conveniently coincide with Dubya's push for the oval office once again, thereby virtually insuring his re-election.

I say "captured" in quotation marks because the rumors I've heard are that Osama is already being held under tight wraps somewhere in the tribal areas of eastern Afghanistan just waiting for our "capture". Now, don't get me wrong here chumlies, I'm definitely not saying that I believe a single word of any of this nor am I a rumor mongerer/conspiracy nut and I have got zip/zero/zilch verifiable information that there is any truth at all to any of this hearsay. I'd just like to know how many of you out there, if anyone at all, has heard these rumors or anything similar.

I have also heard similar tales in regards to the U.S. Army's capture of Saddam Hussein. That his capture was not really a "capture" per se,as we have been led to believe. I've heard two different stories in regards to Saddam. The first, is that we had caught him sometime back in the fall of 2003 and he was trotted out as a morale booster for the troops, seeing as how it was the holidays and all and they are stuck in some godforsaken hellhole about 10,000 miles from East Nowhere, watching their friends go home in body bags.

Do you really think that the military is that crazy? To capture Saddam, and having the chance to stop some attacks on US troops, but not doing it only to help Bush get reelected? I hope no one is that cynical about the military leaders we have. That is the craziest thing I have ever heard. They say they will get Osama probably because they find they are finally getting an inteligence network down, and have been narrowing the search slowly. I hope Osama is captured, no matter when or how.

I'm too classy for decaf. I'm to classy for coffee for that matter. I drink cappaccino. From Starbucks. Well, actually, my butler in my luxurious manor in the Alps handpicks the beans and brews it for a true homemade taste. NOW THAT'S CLASSY!!!

P.S.- Yes, we have a coffee bean field in the Alps.

Kyle & Eric,I TRULY hope that you guys
don't think for a minute that I believe any of this crap. These rumors were just so far out in left field that I HAD to
tell somebody. When I heard them (it was
from a taxi cab driver, which may explain
part of this LOL)I didn't know whether I
should laugh, cry or throw up.It was so far out there that I was just sooooooooo
amazed at what people will come up with sometimes. These rumors are so ludicrous
I almost felt a bit of guilt just for my
putting them out there in the public eye
for perusal in the first place.
