no, i think mine was deleted as a consequence of the guy being banned. i was certainly planning on having bits of it censored, but overall, it was just some fun.

Indeed it was. I was looking forward to more of it.

zing, sorry, but the guy overstepped the mark and had to go. So, therefore, did anything you subsequently posted in response. In hindsight I probably should have deleted the whole exchange, but oh well.

Cleanup is often messy. Sorry again.

I'm certain though, Dreadful, that zing didn't take it as an affront. It's unlike him, and I'm sure you know it.

So don't expect him knocking on your door in Fresno, clean shaven or not, whatever the state of his pants.

I know, Rog, and I did feel for him having gone to all that effort only to see it zapped.

The whole thing was getting extremely puerile, though.

I'm aware of that. I posted it mainly for zing's benefit, to cheer him up as it were.

Now, Jeff, that's a kind of lingo I have trouble with.

I'm certain it wouldn't be the case if I were a Brit.

No worry Roger, having English ancestry, and being raised on the isle of St. Helena in the mid-Atlantic, Scotland, the U.S. and then Canada, I must acknowledge that at times I do not even comprehend myself, particularly when I have just returned home here in Utopia from abroad.

It's kind of true that people are ignorant...not stupid, though. Everyone has the capability to understand, just many Americans choose not to.
The fact is that our environment really IS very impractical for walking. I just got back from Japan and let me tell you, everyone walks/rides public transit/rides bikes. But that is because there is a grocery store in every single little town, everything is condensed, companies are very prevalent, everywhere. It is very, very easy to walk to the grocery store, train station, elementary school, etc. within 10 mins. To get to high school, it usually takes longer, but then they can just walk 10 minutes to the train. American public transit sucks, and once the government gets on that and builds trains in more locations, and normal people instead of just creepy bums start riding public transit, I am sure there will be a change in the way people move around here.

Yes, americans are fat and stupid, this is a documented known fact. The explanation is very simple: Long before USA was even "invented", there existed the catholic church. Despite their claims to direct lines with God, etc, the Catholic Church discovered only one Great Truth: if you want to govern a population unquestioned you have to keep they belly's full and their minds empty. Well fed ignorants will not question government. It's basic, simple and effective. Luckily we in Italy also have a government (God help us for it's condition...) which, at least, offers an alternative to the Church's dominance and dogmas. Unfortunately, in the US, the govermnent IS your church (in this respect). They're keeping you belly's full and you minds worst than empty: they are filled with rubbish tv, Kiss the flag, americans do it better bullshit. Sorry guys, you don't stand a chance! I think the USDollar's recent performance shows it. You are NO longer n.1, and don't have the intellectual tools to recover. LONG LIVE THE OLD CONTINENT.. after all you are only colonials with no real nation or backgroud. So just keep eating up your junk food and junk culture and run along ....

.. ps If you had ANY doubts left about your weight problem, just read this.

You are 300.000.000 out of 6,700,000,000 which makes you 4,5% of the population and yet you account for 15% of the world body-weight. The Math is simple: with every 1 american you can make 3 normal human beings!

I'd bet a billion dollars that all of the people commenting here who are against what the writer is saying...are fat lazy ass people with not much more than a high school education...if that.

    McDonalds eating, non exercising, retards.

It pisses me off when some fat person says, "if you're into looks"...etc etc. As if you should date them regardless of the fact that they're fat. Fuck you. I don't feel one bit sorry for your fat ass. No one MADE you gobble down all those cakes, chocolates, and McDonalds burgers. YOU did that to your self! AND...you are to lazy to exercise. Fat people sicken me!

This blog reeks typical Liberal hate America and try any way to bash it and it's people while claiming they are *peaceful*.

Read this site and wake up to the dangers of Big Brother Government.

In fact a lot of the modern Republicans are really Liberals in disguise and everything is designed on purpose to keep the USA fighting each other in hopes of keeping us divided instead of united standing up for our rights that are almost stripped away.

Any socialists state has a huge problem of fat lazy people because they have no spark left to work for a living ina job they like because the government taxes the hell out of them.

So why go thru all that bother when you can just get free welfare from the government and be forced to live under their nose your whole life being told what to do.

Having Welfare to deal with hard times is one thing but depending on it is completely wrong and the government has designed society to make you depending on it instead of living within your means.

Oh. Did I mention the government has scared most non service jobs away to China that has dangerous working conditions?

We are now a socialists and service country just like Europe unless Europe still have factories that make their own materials left.

I agree with this article, and I too am totally disgusted at the way most Americans eat. Then they have the nerve to complain about the way they look. No it's not easy, but grow the hell up. It also isn't as difficult as most people say it is to eat healthy and exercise regularly.

I have met so many people that cannot eat vegetables without them being slathered in fat, butter, cream, etc... It's gross. And then, they tell me they don't eat fruit. What? What's up with that? That's just stupid.

The person that wrote this fails to include people in Manhattan(NYC). They are the thinnest people in the country, they are American, and they walk everywhere. That is pretty much the only difference as their diets are the same as the average Americans. Except they eat more pre-made foods and fast food and are still thin. The only difference being that they walk pretty much confirms that this article is crap.

Yes, year on year Americans will continue to expand until their collective mass tips the Earth off it's axis and nudges us into the Sun. Then we will all be buggered. So stop eating huge fried piles of shit and get off your backsides you lazy sods. God bless the USA, land of the free and home of the lard arse.
