Oh, and just to clear some things up...
My comment wasn't only in response to the article itself. It was aimed at the discriminating commentors too.

I lust my lifestyle as an American. I drink, smoke, pop pills, watch TV, make websites in my basement for money, shoot the vein, and give in to as much narcissistic decadence as possible. O yeah and I believe in fairy tales like God and Lucifer. I'm full of lust with in the Ununited States of amnesia and I am grateful for every minute of it.

There is a common denominator to all successful people! It's called WORK! Want that hot date, it takes work! Want to make good money, it takes work! Everytime I hear an excuse, that is just one person not wanting to work. I agree with Sal, while he could have used more professional language, I get his point and I agree. I know I have benefited from others laziness, and that's why I make 6 figures a year at the age of 33. Want to know my secret? Well, its called reading books (NO TV), get an education (OMG, I know that means work for some of you! Ughh), working out (Wow, there is that work thing again), and eating right (Uh Oh, that takes work too). All of these things add up to a powerful and positive attitude towards life, but then again it takes a lot of work! 'ONLY THE STRONG WILL SURVIVE' folks, so if you don't want to keep living your mediocre lives, turn off the TV, get off the couch, pick a book up, or take a class, and stop eating junk food! It's sooooo simple, it just takes work and effort!

Bravo. You have the guts to say what many of us think. You can blame it on a person's surroundings all you want but something has to be said for personal responsibility. None of my family lives healhtyfully, neither do my friends nor girlfriend. Very few people are too busy to workout. If people were so busy they wouldn't have time to watch around 4 hours of TV per day (the national average).

I find it funny how you're pointing the finger at Americans and calling us stupid.
READ OVER WHAT YOU SAID IN YOUR ARTICLE:
"Here are the "four rules;" don't smoke, eat properly, exercise regularly and maintain a healthy weight."
Four rules?
"Maintain a healthy weight."
How is that rule #4?
It is the product of eating properly and exercising regularly.
Therefore, making a redundant filler aimed towards thickening your topic.
This may be nothing but a small technicality, but it strays from the point.
Call us stupid all you want, but you're still grammatically retarded. :)

150,000 adults doesn't account for the whole United States. Sorry to poke a hole in your logic.

My dear fellow species the average weight of a person for the last 200.000+ years(Homo sapiens) was 76"83kg (167-182)..in the US this has changed the last 20 years to an average of over 191 pounds (86.6 kg)... hmm just 10 pounds difference..no..not really?
Statistics show that approximately 63% of American adults were considered overweight and that 31% are obese. Of severely obese people, 3.8 million Americans weigh over 300 pounds.
btw Health Advice: Stay away from the obese, bone damage/crushing possible.. (just kidding..but please people stop eating all the junk that you find around..you are behaving like 5 year olds!) You are adults though! take responsibilty of your lifes! Be ROLE MODELS!
In Europe we do try as much as possible, it is not a f,cking perfect continent, but hey we are not ignorant..we have been around for 2500 years (Greece at least that is..) Oh,..where is that Anthony guy that was saying stupid things about the US..he must have so fat fingers by now that he can not type possibly..
F.ck it.. be healthy..and smart!!

I don't feel like reading all that crap you wrote. I have a nice, cheap frozen pizza about to come out of the oven, no time or inclination to respond coherently to this drivel.

The idea that people don't walk or ride a bike because cities are more conducive to driving is not an excuse. I used to ride my bike to work at five in the morning, year round in Colorado. It was subzero some days. I put on ski parka and pedaled faster. I suppose I could have bought a car, but then I wouldn't have had money to finish college and would still be working at that lame job. Stop being lazy America.
