Ok, so this isn't as important as the RIAA, along with Rep. John Conyers and others, wanting to put people in Jail for downloading music.
But, yesterday I posted a story about Metallica suing a band for that band's use of two chords in such a way that it sounded like a Metallica song. I found the story at 411 Mania. The story turned out to be bogus.
411 Mania is a poorly written, but legitimate web site. The graphics look like a bad web page circa 1997. If feels and reads like Tiger Beat without the half naked pictures of pre-pubescent male TV Stars. I am sure 11 year old girls love it.
Yesterday, I emailed the author, Mindy Turner, and still have not heard back, nor can I find anything on their page to indicate a retraction or sorry, we were just joking, or . . . anything.
Now, I could just be a little sensitive because I got sucked in by the Joke, but I don't think Mindy Turner thought it was a joke when she posted the story.
So, 411 Mania and Mindy Turner, any comments? . . . (crickets chirping).
