Creation Entertainment’s Grand Slam Convention Will Be in Burbank, CA, February 15-17, 2013

Creation Entertainment’s Grand Slam Convention: The Star Trek and Sci-Fi Summit takes place Friday through Sunday, February 15-17, at the Burbank Marriott Airport Marriott, 2500 Hollywood Way, Burbank, CA 91515.

Star Trek Next Gen Reunion on stage (separate ticket) Saturday 7pm

The three-day event offers a wide collection of celebrities across a spectrum of genre TV shows and movies. Aside from a heavy emphasis on Star Trek, there will also be actors from Stargate SG-1, Fringe, Grimm, Supernatural, Teen Wolf, The Vampire Diaries, Smallville, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Farscape, and more.

For those unable to go for the entire event, below are some notable guests and the days they will be appearing to help make your selection:

On Friday, February 15, Star Trek fans will find Enterprise’s Dominic Keating (Lt. Reed) and Connor Trinneer (Trip), and Deep Space Nine’s Jeffrey Combs (Weyon/Brunt), Armin Shimermin (Quark), and Rene Auberjonois (Odo). Also in attendance, Bruce Boxleitner from the original Tron, and TV shows Heroes and Babylon 5.

On Saturday, February 16, not only will Star Trek: The Next Generation fans find Sir Patrick Stewart (Captain Picard), LeVar Burton (Geordi La Forge) and Michael Dorn (Worf) during the day, but at 7 PM, there’s a 90-minute Next Generation reunion starring the aforementioned trio joined by Jonathan Frakes (Commander Riker), Brent Spiner (Data), Gates McFadden (Dr. Crusher), and Marina Sirtis (Counselor Troi). A separate ticket is required for this special event with prices starting as low as $45.

Saturday will also offer Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s James Marsters (Spike) and Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy Gilbert), Being Human’s Sam Witwer (Aidan), MTV’s Teen Wolf’s Tyler Posey (Scott McCall), and Fringe’s Jasika Nicole (Astrid Farnsworth).

On Sunday, February 17, Next Generation fans will find Frakes, Spiner, McFadden, and Sirtis returning. Also on the slate will be Star Trek: Voyager’s  Robert Picardo (Voyager’s The Doctor), Grimm‘s David Giuntoli (Nick Burkhardt), and Farscape‘s Ben Browder (John Crichton).

Aside from the actor appearances and autograph opportunities, attendees can enjoy behind-the-scenes presentations, costume and trivia contests, no-minimum bid auctions of unique collectibles and one-of-a-kind items, and special salute videos and previews of upcoming sci-fi television shows and motion pictures.
