Courtney Charged

As discussed at some length here, Love was hospitalized last week for a drug overdose after she attacked a friend’s house trying to get in. Now she’s been charged:

Singer-actress Courtney Love was charged with a misdemeanor drug count Tuesday, less than a week after she allegedly tried to break into a Los Angeles home.

Love is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Los Angeles, said Frank Mateljan, spokesman for the city attorney’s office. Love’s drug tests were still pending, he said. [AP]

Although police spokespersons did not divulge what substance Love was allegedly using, the singer and actress herself posted a somewhat cryptic message on her official website this past Sunday (October 5), which read in part, “Two words…MY house…five words…Don’t F–K with a strong sedative…one word ipecac?…IPECAC? or AMBULANCE?…I lost a day so I couldn’t talk…that motherf–king piece of sh-t in MY house…and I will not even comment on the L.A.P.D….oh and the controlled substance…ONE F–KING WORD…XANAX!”
