This is a very simple dish to prepare. As the name of the dish is pretty obvious, you’ll be using the Japanese udonnoodles. Here are the ingredients:
Chicken breast, filleted (about 500g or more, your choice)
Black pepper sauce
Light soy sauce
Thick soy sauce
Cleaned the chicken fillets and seasoned it with light soy sauce and sesame oil.
Look what I found while cutting up the cabbage. ALWAYS ALWAYS clean your vegetables
Wash the vegetables again after chopping them up
Cut up the spring onions
Dice up the garlic and slice the fish balls into halves.
Our choice of black pepper sauce(any one will do)
Pour out some of the sauce and add some hot water as well as some thick soy sauce
We’re gonna add some REAL black papper into the mix
Pounded them a little. This will release so much flavor
Fry up the garlic, chicken fillet and fish balls
Add the vegetables
Pour in the black pepper sauce
Boil the udon noodles for 1 minute or so. Not too long as you want to preserve it’s springy texture
Toss in the chopped spring onions
Homemade Black Pepper Udon
There are no boundaries for this dish. You may substitute the chicken fillet and fish ball with your choice of meat. Beef sounds good don’t you think?. It was a little spicy for the aftertaste so I guess I used too much crushed black pepper.
