Conan O’Brien

On June 1, 2009 Conan O'Brien took over as the new host of NBC's late night TV institution The Tonight Show. In assuming command, O'Brien succeeds former host Jay Leno and joins an exclusive club that also includes Jack Paar and Johnny Carson. Prior to his current gig, O'Brien was host of Late Night With Conan O'Brien, also for NBC, where he aired his final show in February 2009. O'Brien was also a writer for Saturday Night Live and The Simpsons.

O'Brien now brings his smart, occasionally edgy brand of comedy to the 11:30 PM slot, along with a cast of characters from his former Late Night gig, including occasional sidekick Andy Richter and drummer/bandleader Max Weinberg. O'Brien's first guests on his new show were actor/comedian Will Ferrell and rock group Pearl Jam.
