The seven chakras, namely root chakra, sacral chakra, solar plexus chakra, heart chakra, throat chakra, third-eye chakra, and crown chakra, are the powerhouses of our bodies. They are wheels of light located all over our body. Each chakra controls different parts of our bodies and they need to spin perfectly in balance for us to feel good.

Chakra balancing is important since chakras soak up energy from our thoughts, feelings, and environment and feed it to our body. Accordingly, if it’s negative energy that is out and about in our body, it will be speeded by the chakras, which will eventually result in various ailments.

Therefore, balancing of the chakras is a vital process and there are various techniques to choose from.

Yoga Asanas

Yoga is a method of spiritual living and an integrated method of attaining peace. It has been practiced for centuries and has proved to be extremely beneficial for the improvement of one’s standard of living. Different postures, or asanas, are undertaken to open up different chakras of the body.

Meditation and Chanting

Meditation helps infuse order into the chakras. In this method, one needs to sit in a quiet and peaceful environment and concentrate on a particular point, eradicating all other thoughts from mind. This detoxifies the chakras. Chanting coupled with meditation provides better results.

Color Therapy

Colors are a great source of chakra healing. Since different chakras are associated with different colors, donning clothes of that particular color or eating food of that color helps in chakra balancing.

Stone Therapy

Stones and crystals cast a great impact on the chakras. Crystals such as diamond, rubies, jasper, moonstone, amber, topaz, quartz, and aquamarine help in chakra balancing. The energies from them radiate into the body, impacting the chakras in a positive way.

Musical Therapy

Music has proved to be beneficial for many ailments but it aids the working of the chakras as well. Musical notes cause vibrations which match the frequencies of the different chakras and balance them.
