Chas Jankel
(Angel Air)

A leading member of Ian Dury & The Blockheads, multi-instrumentalist Chas released this CD in his own right in 1978. This is the first time this record has been released on CD and it was remastered from Chas’ own tapes of his recordings. You might have have heard the name from the track ‘Al No Corrida’ which was a hit for Jankel together with Kenny Young and Quincy Jones. The music on here is funk most of which borders on disco. There is not much here for hard rockers but I am sure that Jankel/Blockhead completists will be very happy with this release. Also included is a bonus track in the form of ‘Little Eva’ written about a rather mad Israeli woman.
