The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is putting its radio and teevee archives (part of their 50th anniversary teevee celebrations) online. Unlike most NorthAm (I want to send a shoutout to Magnus Robot Fighter!) broadcasters, the CBC has embraced the ‘net as a new medium.

Unfortunately the video and audio are in Windoze Media Player format (boo, hiss!) without telling you upfront, but included in the archive is an interview with Iggy Pop on Peter Gzowski’s talk show (which I can remember featuring a live James Brown concert which blew my wee mind)

After the interview, Gzowksi said Iggy Pop was putting on an act because backstage he was “quite a pleasant young guy.”
