This week Supernatural served up an old school episode, complete with ghosts, grave digging and a brother moment over the Impala.
This week’s “Heaven Can’t Wait” introduced new writer Robert Berens to the Supernatural fold, and his episode proved that excellent character development will distract from shaky plot points.
The show apparently is determined to keep whacking away at a dog-themed episode, despite the all too fresh memory of “Man’s Best Friend With Benefits.”
This week’s episode was by the wonderfully quirky Robbie Thompson, one of the bright lights on the Supernatural writing team.
This week’s Supernatural, “I’m No Angel” doesn’t match the quality of storytelling seen in the first two episodes, but still moves the key themes of the season along.
Season nine is firing on all cylinders and it’s only two episodes in.
All in all, a great start to the season. Well played, Supernatural.
