In another strip, two obvious parodies of Lord of the Ring’s Frodo and Sam (dubbed Crolo and Wil) have a discussion that directly mirrors Sam’s monologue in The Two Towers. For those who get the reference, it’s a hilarious homage. For those who don’t quite get it, Wil’s speech is a touching narrative broken only by the fact that the two characters get stepped on and squashed moments later, to which Richard remarks, “their unexplained yet curious love could only end in tragedy.”
Fans of the popular online game World of Warcraft will be particularly amused by the strip, as the characters are all reminiscent of the game’s races. In one comic, when Cale is transported back in time, a load screen similar to the one shown when logging into Warcraft is drawn, complete with “loading, please wait” icon and a helpful tip to never jump into an unknown time portal like Cale just did.
LFG is updated twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. It can be found at lfgcomic.com, along with Sohmer’s Book Club and free wallpapers and icons of the LFG team. In addition, the site boasts an online store where fans can buy LFG-related products, including comic book versions of LFG which are published as the story arc is completed. In addition, Sohmer and deSouza are currently working on a full-length feature film about the LFG characters under the working title The Origins of Dick, which has a projected release date of late 2008.
This comic is accessible and appealing to most readers, although the violence of Richard alone may be inappropriate for younger readers. LFG is a deep and elegant comic that fantasy and gaming fans alike will immediately fall in love with, and its popularity is growing all the time. Check out the strip’s website today and get drawn into this beautiful and truly epic world.

Really good review. I haven't heard of this one. I gotta check it out.

I'm not generally a fan of either gaming or comics, but I do have a severely WoW-dependent ex-boyfriend, so I managed to pick up some of the humor. Pretty funny.
That elf guy has some serious ears.

No offense to the writer of this detailed review, but it's a bad webcomic. I enjoy reading other webcomics, such as Order of the Stick, The Noob and Erfworld, and LFG doesn't even come close to their level.
The humor is anything BUT subtle, except when it can't be understood at all. There is no real characterization, and you can't sympathize with any of the characters. The story line has long ago lost any meaning it had.
In the bottom line, the only redeeming quality of this comic is the amazing graphics. I just wish they had a decent writer, who could put it to a better use. Take a look at what Rich Burlew does in Order of the Stick, to understand how much the story is important, even when your characters are drawn as stick-figures.
