Mangum says in the release that for every book sold, she'll donate one dollar to "help battered women." First of all, $18 will only help one abused woman take a taxi far enough away from a strange bedfellow's apartment. Second of all, Mangum's false accusations have already cheapened and damaged the entire process for women who actually get the shit beat out of them by abusive deadbeat boyfriends and bar-goers with pills up their sleeves.
They don't need money. They need this girl to shut up, leave the spotlight and live a good life from this point forward.

Absolutely 100% correct. Why would anyone want to read something that, no doubt, contains MORE lies!!! Suckers!

Less than 2% of reported rapes are false. Just because there were snags in the road doesn't mean she lied...evidenced more by her unwillingness to let it go. A book no one asked for? I would ask for it. I found this article highly unfair and somewhat condescending.

I agree with the second post. Just because there were snags in the road, doesn't mean she lied. Just like all criminal cases, none of them are perfect because we weren't born to be perfect people but ones that can learn from our mistakes. Look for the video based on Mangum's press conference soon here. Also, youtube, google and yahoo video.

There is another not so rare demonstration of how identity politics plays out in liberal media in progress.
Reasonable people notice these differences.
