Thank you for this interview, Linda! Do you have any final words you’d like to share?
With the Katie & Kimble: A Ghost Story series, I’m really trying to do something different. This isn’t an “Oh, gosh, we have a ghost!” kind of a story. Kimble is actually a very well-developed character who first tries to find out why she’s stuck in ghostly form, although she doesn’t really think of it in those terms, and then, once she’s achieved some measure of healing, she tries to learn more and more about her situation at the same time that she’s trying her best to fit in with Katie’s family. It’s all pretty grounded in the wants and needs of the children in the family — and occasionally, the parents, too.
