This is an entertaining and engaging book that would be at home on any computer enthusiast's shelf, no matter what he or she thinks about Apple. (Bill Gates shows up periodically throughout the story, after all.) In the end, it's a remarkable story about a scrappy bunch of geeks with an idea that ultimately turned into an infamous part of history that's as strong as ever twenty years later. And how can that not make you feel good inside?
"A sinister cabal of superior writers."

The breathless excitement with which you review this book tells us which side of the PC/Mac divide you're on, Ryan!
Well done!

I admit, I'm not exactly unbiased, since I do own both a PowerBook and a G5. I hope that's not an "unforgiveable sin."

If it's a sin to love a Mac thenn I am in sin swine heaven.
Macs are thebest. and i'm worried about this new INtel chip deal; for so long the PowerPc chips have been touted a smuch faster. so fo rinstance - a 450 mhz is the equivalent of an 800mhz PC ship or so.

That's about right Gonzo. I'm sitting next to my girl's PC 2 ghz somethng or other. There are a few more internet games available for windows too.
Neither of us gives a rat's hole about database work.
Don't forget - avoiding spam and viruses (I know I know) - advantage MAC by about 1000 fold. I live in bliss and do almost any kind of !@#$% on the net without worry.
I open my e-mail without a need to hold my breath.
I last scanned my computer - never. I'm sliding smoothly.
