Darlene Pitts is the author of two books: Discover Your Intuition and Let's Talk Intuition. She is an intuition consultant, speaker, and has also created a set of cards called “Abundant Living Cards” designed to help people use their intuition to create financial success.
In 1994 she had an angelic encounter during sleep and had several prophetic dreams--it was then she discovered her own intuition. She enjoys teaching people how to use their intuition in twenty-eight areas of life, including career, finances, health, personal relationships, and spiritual growth.
What was the hardest part of writing your book?
The hardest part of writing Let's Talk Intuition was maintaining my focus and energy to get back on my computer at home and continue to write, after spending several hours on a computer writing technical documentation at my corporate job. I set my intent to keep writing and paced myself. I wrote more on some days than others.
When did you first start writing and when did you finish your first book?
This book is a second edition. I started revising the first edition in 2011 and added twenty questions and answers. I finished the second edition in approximately six months.
Can you tell us about your challenges in getting your first book published (if any)?
I self-published my book to maintain creative and copyright control. The main challenges were finding a good, reliable book editor and graphic designer. I found two excellent professionals through social organizations.
How did you come up with the title?
The title, Let's Talk Intuition, popped in my mind when I contemplated the list of intuition-related questions to include the book. The questions are based on what clients have asked me about their intuition and intuition in general. It's a conversational title that, as expanded, says, "Let's talk about how your intuition communicates intuitive messages to you and how other people's intuition communicates intuitive messages to them."
Is there anything else you would like to share with us?
Everyone is born with intuition and their own unique intuitive style. Let's Talk Intuition is written to help people understand how to use their intuition every day and in 28 areas of life, including career, finances, health, and relationships.
