Interview: Wayne Hatford, Author of Going for Excelsior: Thriving in Seniorhood - Page 2

What are five important things that you take into consideration while writing your story?

Audience, timbre, appeal, content, flair.

Why should readers pick up your book?

Most everyone will have the opportunity to be ‘old’--to some degree or other. Why not have a handle on the experience before you get there and/or really enjoy it when you do?

What was the turning point when you realized you wanted to write and share your voice with the world?

When I first discovered I could channel and it dawned on me that what I was writing about could really be helpful to other people.

What genres do you prefer to read? Which do you enjoy writing in?

I only rarely read fiction although I have enjoyed it from time to time. I much prefer non-fiction, and that is also my genre. I like reading and writing things that have a metaphysical bent, are ‘new age’ in flavor.

What five things would you have with you at all times if you had to be prepared to take a trip at the drop of a hat?

Passport, travel size toiletries, toothbrush, razor, a change of clothes!

If you could have one super power, what would it be and why?

The ability to fly! No need to go to airports or board planes! And, it would also be great fun.

What footprint do you want to leave behind in this world?

The ideas that have been expressed in my books. They are my gifts to the world.
