Founder and President of Unlimited Potential, Inc., Tom Roy went on to a career in radio after a brief time in the San Francisco Giants Organization. Following a call from God, Mr. Roy went on to enroll at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana, earning that degree for which God called him to complete.
Following college, Tom Roy went on to coach baseball at a local high school as head coach for three years before coaching at college level for nine years.
It was in 1970 that UPI became prominent in Mr. Roy's life, as well as his wife, Carin's heart. The ministry became a reality in 1980, allowing Tom Roy to minister to players through chapels, clinics, and camps for 28 years.
In addition to ministering to players, Mr. Roy has also had the honor to serve God in many ways through UPI, including speaking and holding clinics in over 60 countries. Beginning in January of 2008, he began the role of Founder and President of UPI. In addition, Tom Roy works with the Advancement of the Ministry, stays in contact with “UPI alumni” and extending his heart and wisdom to care for ballplayers through counseling.
Tom Roy and his wife, Carin, reside in Winona Lake, Indiana. They have been blessed with two daughters and six grandchildren.

Released tells the remarkable story of the birth, growth, and development of a unique Christian outreach to the world of professional baseball-Unlimited Potential, Inc. Beginning with a phone call from Hank Aaron during a miserable Indiana blizzard, the fledgling work has grown to a world-wide ministry that has impacted thousands through baseball clinics and instruction. Through dozens of anecdotes, the personal stories of changed lives light up the pages of this book.
