When Ms. Daley isn’t traveling, she is busy writing love stories, often which contain a suspense thread within them.  She also keeps very occupied corralling her three furbaby cats that think they rule her household.

Margaret Daley's latest book is the Christian fiction suspense novel Shattered Silence which is about a series of murders that seem like hate crimes.  Things, however are not always what they appear.

Could you please tell us a bit about your book, Shattered Silence? The story? The characters?

A serial killer is targeting illegal aliens in southern Texas. Texas Ranger Cody Jackson is paired with a local police officer, Liliana Rodriguez, to investigate the murders.  While the case brings Cody and Liliana closer, the tension between Americans and Mexican Americans heightens.

As Cody and Liliana race to discover who is behind the murders and bring peace to the area, what they uncover isn’t what they expected. Will Cody and Liliana’s faith and love be strong enough to survive the storm of violence?

How did you come up with the title and how much say did you have on the cover design?

Shattered Silence is the title I gave it. It illustrates what happens in the story. I had a lot of say in how the cover would be done. Abingdon Press has done a great job on all my covers for the "Men of the Texas Rangers" Series.

Do you have a favorite line or excerpt that you would like to share from your book?

This is a short scene in first person present tense at the beginning of my story. (All scenes in this character's viewpoint are in first person and present tense while the rest of the book is in third person past tense.)

No one sees me. They walk right by me and don’t even know I am here. I’m invisible.

But that’s all going to change today. The woman who has agreed to marry me will be here soon. The world will finally know someone cares about me. It was worth all my savings to bring her across the border. I’m tired of being alone. Being nobody.
