What are some of your favorite ways to promote your work?
On my Facebook page, Twitter page, Linkedin page, chardonnaypress.com, libbyfloyd.com and word of mouth. Coming from a sales background, I tell everyone I meet about my book. I can’t help myself!! I’m also promoting my book through my author video on You Tube, Vimeo and the Amazon.com author page. I am doing a virtual publicity tour through Pump up your Book and just released a nationwide press release through PRWeb. I also plan to do author luncheons and more. I love doing interviews for newspapers, radio and television and of course, for you and others online!

What is a typical writing day like for you?
I like to start writing at my laptop at around noon. I work for a few hours and then take a long walk to stretch my legs and clear my head. Then I come back and write for a few more hours. I also like to write at night and just whenever the creative urge strikes. I’ve realized that you’ve got to strike while the creative juices are flowing no matter what time of day it is!
What are some ways that you like to relax?
I take long walks and work out at the gym.
What author/s do you think are overlooked in the writing/reading world today?
I think authors without a large publishing house behind them are still overlooked. However, the publishing world is definitely changing with E.L. James and Amanda Hocking, due to their success as self-published authors; but it’s a very competitive world when it comes to books and tough to get recognized, no matter who’s behind you.
What author would you most like to meet and why?
I’d like to meet Danielle Steel because I think our writing style is similar, in that we like to write about three books at a time. I also admire her body of work and the fact that she has sustained a long and successful career as a writer.
Do you have any upcoming projects that you would like to share with readers?
Yes, I have another book coming out soon called Prime Time Divas about the home shopping network industry that I was a part of for the last 15 years.
What is something about yourself that would come as a surprise to many people?
I’m also a singer. I released a country/pop album in 1999.
