Could you please tell us a bit about your book? The story? The characters?

Sparkelicious is best summarized as a modern day Sex and the City meets a contemporary Steel Magnolias. The story is set in my charming hometown of Greenville, S.C. and my spiritual home of Los Angeles—fashion designer Laney Montgomery is at a crossroads in her life, on the heels of turning 40. On a much-needed vacation back home to South Carolina to visit her family, Laney realizes that her mom and sister’s lives are in disarray. While trying to fix them, Laney learns that her own marriage is in serious trouble back in California and her fashion business is on the verge of collapse. The affections of a handsome younger man doesn't help matters either, as Laney must fix everyone else before she can find true happiness for herself.

The characters in Sparkelicious ooze Southern charm and are extremely colorful and real.

How did you come up with the title and how much say did you have on the cover design?

I worked as a television shopping host for the last 15 years, selling diamonds, gemstones and gold.  My “libbyism” was “Sparkelicious,” so I thought it was the perfect title for my book and also the appropriate name for Laney’s clothing line in the book.

Do you have a favorite line or excerpt that you would like to share from your book?

There are several but this is one of my favorites…..

"Missy looked like a contestant on the show What Not To Wear, proudly decked out in her brand new indigo denim jeans and white Adidas tennis shoes from Costco."
