Do you have any particular habits that you do while writing? Places you write the best, foods, drinks, etc that help set your "writing mood"?
I write best at my home computer, but I gather ideas all the time. Almost every day I jot down snippets of ideas on scraps of paper, napkins, torn pieces of newspaper — basically whatever I can get my hands on. Finally, I decided to keep a notebook with me. Before I write, I always like to eat carbs — like a runner who does carbo-loading for stamina before a race. (Although for writing, it’s more for brain stamina than body stamina.) Generally, I lean toward a bowl of cereal or some non-dairy ice cream.
What are you reading right now?
Untamed by Lisa Harper
Who are some of your favorite authors and/or books?

Dan Allender (Bold Love)

Henri Nouwen (The Return of the Prodigal Son)
Brennan Manning (Ruthless Trust)
If you could meet any author, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
Like folding a fitted bed sheet, this is impossible! How can I pick just one when there are so many authors I’d love to meet? Okay, I’ll say John and Stasi Eldredge. They have an incredible depth of insight into the human condition, a love of nature and the outdoors, and a unique way of making God relevant to our lives.
Okay, here are a few "get to know you better" questions:
Please share with us a favorite memory.
My grandparents had a cottage on a lake in Northern Wisconsin and we (my two sisters and I) vacationed there with them every summer for two weeks. No parents. Our doting grandparents took us to water ski shows, horseback riding, animal farms and out for ice cream and shopping in Minocqua. I remember long walks in the woods, picking fresh raspberries and swimming for hours. Good memories!
Please describe a perfect meal - including menu and those present.
I’m a person who likes variety so it’s hard to pick one thing. Today, I’d say steak on the grill with baked potatoes, fresh grilled asparagus, and a bunch of different kinds of salads. For dessert, maybe a coconut cake with coconut ice cream drizzled with dark chocolate sauce. The setting would be outdoors under some cool shade trees with family and the close friends who love me most. Nice!
