Interview: Holly Bush, Author of Reconstructing Jackson

Born in western Pennsylvania, Holly Bush was raised by two very avid readers where there was not a room in their home that did not hold a full bookcase. This instilled a love of reading and literature very early on.

Ms. Bush went on to work in the hospitality industry and even owned a restaurant for 20 years. She most recently worked as a sales and marketing director in the hospitality/tourism industry where she is credited with building traffic to capacity for a local farm tour, bringing in guests from 22 states, booked two years out. Holly Bush has been a marketing consultant to start-up businesses and has also done public speaking on the subject.

Holly Bush has been writing all of her life and is a voracious reader of a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction, with a particular fondness for political and historical works. She has written four romance novels, all set in the U.S. West during the time of the mid 1800s. Ms. Bush frequently attends writing conferences, and has always been a member of a writer’s group.

In addition to writing, Holly Bush is a gardener, a news junkie, and was the vice-president of her local library board for years. She loves to spend time near the ocean and is the proud mother of two daughters and the wife of a man more than a few years her junior.
