I recently had the extreme pleasure of interviewing Amanda Grange, author of Mr. Darcy,Vampyre. This interview, as well as my review of the book will be appearing later on at Cafe of Dreams - including a chance to win a free copy of Mr. Darcy, Vampyre!
Before moving on to the interview, here is just a taste of what Mr. Darcy, Vampyre is about:
Amanda Grange, bestselling author of Mr. Darcy's Diary, gives us something completely new - a delightfully thrilling, paranormal Pride and Prejudice sequel, full of danger, darkness and deep romantic love…
Amanda Grange's style and wit bring readers back to Jane Austen's timeless storytelling, but always from a very unique and unusual perspective, and now Grange is back with an exciting and completely new take on Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.
Mr. Darcy, Vampyre starts where Pride and Prejudice ends and introduces a dark family curse so perfectly that the result is a delightfully thrilling, spine-chilling, breathtaking read. A dark, poignant and visionary continuation of Austen's beloved story, this tale is full of danger, darkness, and immortal love.
Now, see what Ms. Grange has to say about her writing and a glimpse into her life.
Can you tell us a bit about Mr. Darcy, Vampyre?
AG: It begins where Pride and Prejudice ends, on Lizzy and Darcy’s wedding day, and it follows them on their wedding tour through Europe. Strange things start to happen and Lizzy gradually realizes that Darcy has a terrible secret.
If you could sum up Mr. Darcy, Vampyre in 10 words, what would they be?
AG: An atmospheric, brooding, paranormal sequel to Pride and Prejudice.
When is your next book coming out?
AG: Good question! I’ll let you know when I’ve finished it!
Who are your favorite characters in the story and why?

Great interview! I love Amanda Grange and her works, so this was interesting and entertaining to read. As an aspiring writer myself I found comfort in the fact that Amanda uses similar writing techniques to me - dreaming all day and jotting it down at the end of it!
Mr Darcy, Vampyre is a fantastic read and even brought me to tears at one point. All I can say is thank you and well done to Amanda for being such a brilliant writer.
