History on Book TV

We have been neglecting Book TV of late, the weekend mini-network on C-SPAN2 concentrating on serious nonfiction. This weekend's feature is "24 Hours of History":

Join Book TV this weekend for 24 hours of History starting midnight on Saturday December 21st to midnight Sunday December 22nd. Authors will discuss the people and events that shaped the United States and the world. Programs will include: Robert Caro, Eric Foner, Edmund Morris on writing history, Laura Hillenbrand on the racing horse "Seabiscuit," Jeff Shaara discussing the American Revolution, Joy Hakim on teaching history in schools, Norman Podhoretz discussing the prophets, and Arthur Herman will explain "How the Scots Invented the Modern World."

The entire weekend's schedule is here. Watch it and be edumacated.
