The weakened body of Bradwarden has been found in the rubble of Mt. Aidia, and Father Abbot Markwart is personally taking charge of the interrogation into what happened to Avelyn and the magic gemstones. He is meeting the monks at St. Precious to find out why Avelyn joined forces with the Demon Dactyl and what happened to the stones
Once again, I was treated to a Graphic Audio performance that really brings you into the story. The combination of sound effects and artistic vocal performances creates what Graphic Audio calls a “Movie in your Mind,” and that is truly what The DemonWars Saga: The Demon Spirit – Part II is.
Roger Lockless has been capture by Kos-kosio Begulne's band of powrie's and dwarfs. His leg is broken and is being interrogated about the magic stones. When he is rescued by Nightbird, his ego is challenged, as is his leadership ability because of his lack of experience in fighting the monsters as well as his reckless abandon.
Pony's mystical connection to Avelyn from beyond the grave continues to increase her powers with the stones as well as her understanding of how to use them. Roger Lockless is fascinated by Jilseponie, which further leads to conflict between Elbryan and Roger.
When Father Abbot Markwart arrives at St. Precious, he takes over the abbey. He hauls in the Chilicunck family; the ones who first took in Pony and raised her after the death of her parents. They are being charged with conspiracy against the church and with protecting their daughter, who is a known conspirator of Avelyn Despris.
Father Abbot Markwart enlists two Brother Justices to clean up some loose ends that could cause trouble for his mission. One of these is to get rid of Connor Bildeborough, who was married to Pony for a short time until the marriage was annulled when she refused him on their wedding night.
