Graphic Audio Review: The DemonWars Saga: The Demon Awakens – Part III by R.A. Salvatore

The Demon Dactyl is awake; his army is strong; and it is now massing to move. When the poachers and former Kingsmen — Paulson, Cric, and Chipmunk — saw the valley full of tents and campfires, and thousands of Goblins and even some Fomorain Giants, they were scared. But what scared them even more, scared them enough to run was the war engines, catapults, and spear-throwing ballistae. This meant war!

Once again I was treated to a Graphic Audio performance that really brings you into the story. The combination of sound effects and artistic vocal performances creates what Graphic Audio calls a “Movie in your Mind” and that is truly what The DemonWars Saga: The Demon Awakens – Part III is.

Once labeled as outlaws by Nightbird, Paulson, Cric, and Chipmunk now team up with him, Avelyn (the mad monk), and Pony to try and warn townsfolk from the neighboring villages of the impending disasters awaiting them. The problem is, no one is taking it seriously. To them, it is just another goblin uprising.

All the while the Demon Dactyl, Bestesbulzibar continues to amass his dark force of goblins, powries and Fomorian giants, growing stronger each day. He also has a secret card up his sleeve. He has saved the monk Quintal by bringing his ghost back to do his bidding. He is now spying on Elbryan, Avelyn, Pony, and the centaur Bradwarden, and so the Demon knows where they are at all times.

The only way the crew can stop the Dactyl is by going to the Demon's lair on Mount Aida, the smoking mountain, to try to take him off guard. With a small group will they be able to go undetected? Will Avelyn have the strength and power to use the stones to defeat the demon? Will the Elbryan's friends the Elves lend their support? Will Corona survive, or will the Demon win?
