eBook Review: The Transformation of Claudia Thomas by Clarice Clique

The Transformation of Claudia Thomas is the first longer piece I've read from Clarice Clique, but now her kinky tales are definitely on my radar! This is a vampire story with a difference — Claudia is diagnosed with a fatal illness and is distraught at the thought of leaving her husband and young children behind. Therefore she makes the decision to become a vampire, despite all warnings to the contrary.

However, once she becomes a vampire, she's not only changed physically, but mentally. She doesn't have the same human emotions and instead of caring for her family, she takes off by herself and fills her time with meaningless sexual encounters. That is, until handsome young student, Bryan walks into her life. He's thirsty for knowledge on vampires, as his parents were murdered by one. But rather than their relationship taking a sinister or bitter turn, it takes a kinky turn.

Claudia's surprised to realise that she can't stop thinking about Bryan. Over the years, she's discarded men like trash, and yet somehow, Bryan has gotten under her skin. Is it possible that after all these years she can leave her cold vampire side behind and start feeling more human again? Can she love?

Clarice Clique has a reputation for penning kinky stories, and this is no exception. It's not overly kinky though, and the plot definitely takes precedence over sexual encounters, which is what makes it such an interesting and unique story. A very enjoyable read, particularly for fans of vampires and the supernatural.

I have to agree with what Lucy's says here. I also find that this as well as most of the stories written by Clarice has more substance in relation to the plot than being just overtly kinky. Though of course she writes very kinky stuff, have you read Hot Summer Days?
