eBook Review: Slow Cooked Murder by Tim Myers

Cozy mystery connoisseurs will fall in love with yet another outstanding Tim Myers series.  Myers is back with a new original series that will leave you hankering (see  a visit to Falling Creek, North Carolina has this northern diva speaking with a southern lilt) for more.  The Slow Cooker Cozy Mysteries series is absolutely delish. Slow Cooked Murder will leave your mouthwatering.

Oh, my word! Slow Cooked Murder is comfort food for the literary soul. In a word: Scrumptious! Myers’ descriptive prose has this chica thinking about buying a slow cooker from QVC – for her ma. I’m no fool, I want it to taste yummy and not look like something one of my kitties found in the basement.

Sarah Jacobs teaches a class at Falling Creek Community College (FCCC) on the fine art of slow cooking.  When Henry Yeats is murdered after class one evening, Sarah and the rest of the students quickly become suspects.  Sarah must uncover the killer and prove she is innocent – even if it means she may become the one to simmer.

Myers’ brilliance is in the atmosphere he creates.  Slow Cooked Murder is a fast paced, well-plotted mystery with an engaging heroine.

Layered with a cast of believable characters, brimming with subtle red herrings so as not to lose the fluidity of the story and laced with every charming nugget to keep you on the edge of your seat. Slow Cooked Murder is a series not to miss.
Oh, did I mention recipes are included for all you culinary rockstars out there. Yum!
