eBook Review: Bollywood Nightmare by Victoria Blisse

Part of: Reviews in Brief

I very much enjoyed the first book in this series, Silver Screen Dream, so I eagerly waited for the release of this one: Bollywood Nightmare.

Johnny the Djinn was one of the main characters in the first book, and he is in this one, too. He's a cheeky, often sarcastic narrator who desperately wants to be released by his master so he can go back to his own country, and his one true love. But, as is often the case, things aren't that simple. Rahul Khan, Johnny's master, isn't willing to let the Djinn go and instead orders him to look after his daughter, Kiya, as she embarks on a trip to America, to launch her Hollywood career.

Unfortunately, things don't go exactly as planned, and Johnny and Kiya find themselves in big trouble--and it turns out Johnny knows who is behind it. What he doesn't know is why, and when he finds out, his whole world is turned upside down.

Bollywood Nightmare is a fantastic read. I really enjoy the narrative voice of Johnny the Djinn. He's very funny and engaging and balances out perfectly with the more sensible Kiya. Their adventure is action-packed and often has you wondering what's going to happen next. And the sex scenes, although they're not frequent, are very hot and packed full of emotion. So, if you're looking for an erotic romance with a difference, you should definitely check out The Djinn's Amulet series by Victoria Blisse.
