Doctor Fischer of Geneva or The Bomb Party

Easily in my Top 10 is Graham Greene's chilling psychological thriller and savage sarcastic satire on capitalism: Doctor Fischer of Geneva or The Bomb Party. You See, Dr. Fischer has a Most Unusual hobby: to expose human greed. He does this in a most cynical and dark manner: by inviting his "friends" over for parties. What Happens at These Parties is best left for The Reader or, better yet, The Viewer in The Australian made for TV video/film that just happened to be James Mason's last screen role (as Doctor Fischer). i remember seeing it on PBS in the US once. i have seen copies of The Video for sale on eBay and elsewhere from time-to-time. it wasn't till "recently" that i got and read the book, which, of course, has more detail/story line to it than the video/film... but, i must say, James Mason's Doctor Fischer is superb, dour, seriousity.
