Comic Review: Spike: After The Fall #1 - Page 2

There are a few great moments in the series, like when Spike has to confront Angel’s dragon, (see Angel: After The Fall for more details) and when a teenager complains that there’s one show to watch, the one about the witch sisters — a dig at the show Charmed.

The best line in this issue has to be Spike's inner monologue where he wonders if both Angel and Buffy ever had to deal with someone being annoying, other than him. I can hear actor James Marsters speaking this line, and, just like the other Lynch/Urro Spike mini-series, they capture the blonde vampire’s voice and tell a story that could have been part of the proposed Spike television series. The Spike team once again delivers a great story; if you’re a fan, you owe it to yourself to pick up this mini-series. You won’t be disappointed.
