UFO Singularity: Why Are Past Unexplained Phenomena Changing Our Future? Where Will Transcending the Bounds of Current Thinking Lead? How Near Is The Singularity? by Micah Hanks is a considerable work on the emerging technologies which could serve as conditions precedent to verifying the existence of UFOs at some time in the future. This feat would be done through the prism of artificial intelligence and bioengineering of humans for space travel. The author puts a time frame of a quarter of a century for enhanced humans to adapt to a multiplicity of outer space environments.
Hanks discusses the possibility of mind combination which provides additive perspectives by aggregating communal intelligence into a centralized artificial intelligence or learning capability. The author holds the belief that the universe
itself consists of a digital superstructure which can be accessed.
In fact, Hanks provides a date for creating human intelligence far beyond our own capabilities now. The date is just several decades away. The author predefines UFO technologies as encompassing advanced bioengineering of humans, anti-gravitational aircraft, and time travel which Einstein touched upon
tangentially in some of his work.
At some point in the not too distant future, Hanks believes that humankind will achieve techno-hyperdevelopment which precedes artificial intelligence greater than human beings. At this point in time, the concept of singularity will have been achieved.
Hanks draws many of his theories from authoritative sources, such as Journal of Applied Physics, The Guardian, ATT Labs, Physical Review, Scientific American and Nanotechnology.
UFO Singularity is an interesting work for science buffs to contemplate humankind's future efforts in finding life outside of the earth's frame of reference. A main point of the book is that the scientific community is closing in on the prerequisite technologies for communicating with beings from other galaxies utilizing Einstein's theories of time slowing down together with digitalization across the universe and the re-engineering of the human body for space travel in the upcoming centuries. A weakness of the presentation is that the author doesn't mention nuclear fusion technologies in space travel. The use of these technologies may be needed to transport humans to distant planets in the future.

People reading the above may think the author is kooky, but what you need to know is that technology is increasing at an exponential rate (and that rate is increasing at an exponential rate because of the Law of Accelerating Returns). Exponential trends are very intuitiveness, and exponential curves seem linear at first. The author's predictions are within the frame of Kurzweil who has an amazing track record for his past future predictions.

Although technology may be increasing at an ever exponential rate, the focus of that growth has not been in developing spacecraft or exploratory devices. The lack of appropriate funding has driven growth to areas such as medical research, military expenditures, communications, and domestic spending.
I honestly don't believe that we will see any groundbreaking or earth-shaking changes within our lifetime that will come in forms such as A.I.,or FTL travel due to our current preoccupation with war and internal economic climate.

Brad, it is unfortunate that most people don't care about space exploration of space technologies. Reality is cold, and most care more about what beer they are going to drink later in the day than the Mars rover and what it is finding up there.
