If asked on the spur of the moment, I would have a difficult time trying to recall if I'd ever read a better literary novel.…

The whole idea that the book is so good that only a particular gender has the ability to comprehend its goodness is retarded.

The characters weren't realistic at all, the setting wasn't realistic and it's hard to feel sympathy for a lying, stealing protaganist. Just because a book takes place in the South during 1964 doesn't automatically make it a classic. It's not a classic, it's an, unrealistic saccharine tale that's designed to get Oprah Book Club endorsements.

I didn't like this book at all, it was okay, but to me it wasn't as good as you thought it was.

Mr. Amazing?...that you would wish a painful death on the author of a book because you simply didn't happen to enjoy it is, well, concerning to say the least. If you're "sense of literary value" is so superior then maybe you should be writing the no.1 best sellers! I'd like to see how well you could do compared to this masterpiece. I'm not saying you should like the book, but you shouldn't be as rude insulting to someone who many look up to...
