People are constantly searching for a "holy grail" of stock investing and I found one in Brad Koteshwar's latest book The Perfect Speculator. The so-called experts of Wall-Street promising riches based on the past performance of the stocks, selling market insight newsletters, subscriptions and investing books, no longer impress me after reading this book.
The Perfect Speculator is about a speculator who works silently, unlike self promoting "pundits" of the stock market. He has amassed immense wealth, and now he wants to decide on a suitable heir who can carry on his work of speculation, and preach his strategies to his select clients. He selects Brad Koteshwar as his heir. (Brad Koteshawar writes his books on a first-person basis.) Although the book itself is a piece of fiction, the knowledge and wisdom gained from the book is very real, immensely valuable and an eye-opener for any stock-market enthusiast.
All of us have lost some money in stocks at least once in our life. For some of us that one loss was more than enough to stay away from the market, while others have not learnt their lessons from one loss and lost the money many times. This book teaches you to be an un-emotional investor and test your strategies and win big in bull markets and lose very little in bear markets.
